This should apply even after track season has ended..
No fast food burgers.. Maybe once a month.
Cut out soft drinks and sweets
Eat fruit and veggies
Low fat meats
lentils
If your running long distance, you might want to load up on complex carbs the day prior to an event.

Fried foods and dont drink sodas. When i was in track all the girls and boys too ate Subway and we drank alot of water. sandwiches help alot. The one time i didnt eat Subway i ate some nachos. BAD IDEA. I threw up right after running the 800.
