I went to the tanning bed for the first time the day before yesterday and I burned but its barely sore or red right now, I want to go back today but I'm not sure if it would make it burn twice as bad or if I should wait? Anyone with tanning experience?

I tan on a regular basis. I have very fair skin so I know a lot about burning. When I first went tanning, I burned. I waited about a week, so the burn could heal, and then went again. But I cut back the amount of time I was in. I didn't burn after that.

After you build up a base tan, you don't have to worry so much about it. Occasionally I come out looking a little pink, but that's to be expected.

Another good way to prevent burning and promote tanning is to use a high quality indoor tanning lotion. A big bottle costs about $20 and lasts me about 2 months, with regular tanning. It doesn't take a lot.

Coming from a fair skinned girl who's dealt with your problem, I hope this helps!

Are you using the tanning lotion? Very important that you do. Did you stay in to long your first time. Don't rush the process it's not worth it. You have to wait 24 hours befor you go back. Be careful and enjoy you tan but take your time gettting it.

tanning too much encourages premature wrinkles... stay away from it and limit it to once a month.
