well usually i keep brown rice or white rice in the fridge for about 1 or 2 days, however there have been times when i kept it in longer. it seemed fine, i just microwaved it before eating it..and let it cool down in the pot for a couple hours after making it before putting it in a plastic container in the fridge

I'd say 24 hours, but I have been known to eat it after three days with no side effects. Proper reheating is the key. Don't listen to all those namby pambys, they probably throw enough food away in a week to feed an entire continent!!

If sealed in an airtight container and refrigerated, it can be pushed to three days. I've done it and do it frequently. And I'm still writing. It does take on a different texture though. It freezes much better and I've packed it in a vacuum sealer (Tilia) and used it a year later. If you don't vacuum seal it will last about two months, then texture and taste really change.

To be honest, you should never reheat cooked rice. It is extremely difficult to kill the harmful bacteria that forms in it. Throw it away and cook some new from scratch, sorry!

any rice is best kepted for one day only as it does attract bacteria quickly.
but the chinese takeaway's use nexted day cooked rice for fried rice as this is the best way.
as the same day rice for this recipe is to sloppy so it needs to be dry and tacky that is why they use day after rice..
hope that help's

As long as you like, just don't eat it. Rice can be very dodgy when re-heated.
