Since I advertisized my motor bike I have had a number of offers from people who want to give me a money order (of double the price.. and I pay the shipping people and pocket the extra 100 dollars). it seemed suspisous and so when I asked for cash or paypal... I never heard from these people again. I have since learend that fake money orders are the new thing (so after I paid that shipping... I would be out a bike and have paid thousands for shipping out of my own pocket!)

So today I had another offer. But this person seems more friendly. So I emailed my usuall.... cash or pay pal and he accepted pay pal for 'his client'! So I am thinking of going for it. They paypal me.. I keep the extra 100 for my trouble of paying the shipping people... Can I get gipped with paypal????

YES YOU CAN BE RIPPED OFF WITH PAYPAL!!!

Especially when it's "for his client"....

seller beware of pay pal transactions also. I sell on ebay and only accept low deposits up to 3, 4 hundred on pay pal, then require a "bank check"/cashiers ck that has to clear before the bike wil be shipped. This put you @ less risk and weeds out the scammers. Good luck!

I hate to say it but I know of a person at my bank who said her whole account was wiped out at her bank through someone getting into her Paypal account. She works at the bank and I had asked them if they knew if it was safe or not. I used a money order and it worked fine. Also send it certified so that it has to be signed for when you send it. Get the money order from your bank. Most people would not send cash through the mail as that would not be wise as it can be lost that way and also you want a receipt and a money order acts as one as you keep a copy of it. Hope this helps and good luck!
