The Bible didn't become real to me until I had a free bible study with the Jehovah's Witnesses. What they said made sense, and so I felt that it was important to check if it was actually true or not. The more and more I looked into things, the more and more I was convinced that the Bible was from God, and they knew the truth unlike other Christian groups. It sounds bad to say, but it is true. If everyone is teaching something different, only one group can be right. By the way, did you know that God's name is Jehovah (Exodus 6:3, Psalm 83:18 King James Version)
John 17:3
This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you, the only true God, and of the one whom you sent forth, Jesus Christ.
Matthew 7:21
“Not everyone saying to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the kingdom of the heavens, but the one doing the will of my Father who is in the heavens will.
Act 15:14
Symeon has related thoroughly how God for the first time turned his attention to the nations to take out of them a people for his name.

Found him or her at Baptist boarding school when I was 12 and still young and impressionable. Woke up in college and realized what a big bunch of hooey it was. Sorry man, not trying to rain on your parade but, god exists in your mind.
Its always easiest to influence the youngest minds, hence, why so many believers have never realized there are other choices.

Always believed there is God. No way to dispute that fact. I finally accepted what faith is very late in life and now understand about the Son of God and God's gift to us.

God found me.
Someone who is lost doesn't even know he is lost. It is God who goes looking for the lost sheep. Not the other way around.
He will find you where you are.
In a bar room.
In your house.
Ready to commit suicide.
In a crack house.
In prison.
In a church.
Wherever. OLAY!

Easy, He's in the Bible. I found God when I was four years old, with the help of my parents.

Well, let's see. I found God in the bottom of a fifth of vodka, and I found Jesus behind the couch while I threw up.
