that he can't find half the words, even though I provided hints!!!

I gave it to him, he was so touched by it and excited. We sat down with it for over an hour, he found some things.

A week later, I come home, and he's really mad; it's driving him nuts, he's stared at it for hours! Then he gets all in a bad mood even though I've given him many more additional hints and sat down with him .

Is he being ungrateful or what?

It took me hours to make up this homemade gift for him!

Should I just circle all the answers to shut him up?

My main question is: Is he being ungrateful by getting so upset over this?

I meant, it is a WORDFIND puzzle, so yes, I could circle all the words for him, there's about 50 words.

No i do not think he is intentionally being ungrateful even though it appears so to you. I believe he genuinely wants to solve the puzzle (i expect to please you more than you know). Work with him and please make it fun, remember your reason for painstakingly making it for him, was to provide fun for both of you. I would like to be a fly on the wall to see his face when he finally solves it (smile).

No. Not ungrateful. Just frustrated. This is driving him nuts, as you say. The puzzle must be really difficult. Rather like I feel when I try to do a Rubik's Cube or something.

I'm confused, tho. Is it a crossword or is it a find-a-word?

Ask him if he wants you to circle the answers, or whether he wants to solve the puzzle himself.

Next time, make one that's not quite so hard to do.

That's sweet... He's frustrated? He's been trying to solve it for a week and not given up? Ungrateful is the last thing he is! Men sometimes would just cast it away after trying for half an hour... You're lucky that your husband cares so much. :)
