I keep hearing: "Bible bashers are as bad a Bible thumpers." And "If that's what people want to believe who are we to stop them?" or "We must respect everyone’s religious beliefs".

So I ask you, when was the last time an Atheist blew up an abortion clinic? When was the last time an Atheist hijacked an airplane? When was the last time an Atheist suicide bomber blew himself up in a marketplace?

You may say that these people are religious extremists. Yet they extreme only in that they are following the letter of the law as God has commanded it. Both the Bible and Koran agree than all infidels must be killed. The Bible states that if one person in a city preaches against God, all it's inhabitants must be destroyed: every man, woman, child, and beast. The Koran is no different. They differ only in their definition of the word "infidel".

So before a dirty bomb goes off in New York (knock on wood) ask yourself this, "What good can come from religious tolerance?"

Rob, you've been listening to Kirk Cameron and his Way of the Master program a bit too much. There is such a thing as an atheist. To say that all atheists are really agnostics is just word play based on faulty logic.

Communism is always Religion's last stand, isn't it Larry M? Stalin didn't believe in God, therefore Religion (despite the Inquisition and the Nazi death camps which were based on Christian European anti-Semitism) is better than No Religion at all. Sounds kind of silly when I say it, doesn't it?

Yes Jim Darwin, atheists do bad things every day. But we don't have any excuse for it, do we? Religious tolerance gives extremists a card blanche for committing crimes that have been "commanded by God." Deep down inside many Christians who would never commit an act of terrorism themselves, approve of abortion bombers. Much in the same way that many Muslims who would never commit an act of terrorism themselves approve of the 9/11 hijackers. When the day comes when you must convert to Islam or die, you may change your song and dance. Peace.

It's true that uncounted violence and mayhem has been done in the name of some religion or other.

I don't doubt that atheists have also done violence, but I doubt if they do it in the name of atheism. Atheists are by definition too rational to be swayed by superstitious nonsense.

Well the airplane thing has probably happened, just not on purpose.

I agree with you. Muslims have a huge problem with the radical side right now. There are hundreds of thousands at Hamas rallies, not a few. There are large crowds in the streets of Iran after Friday prayers EVERY week saying they want to kill westerners. I could go on and on. You can deny that fact all day, but these guys are going to start WWIII if the moderate side doesn't do something to stop them.

I have only seen two Muslims that regularly speak out against it, and they both live behind bullet proof glass. You need to look at what is really happening and stop blaming those who notice.

If only the religious were tolerant.
I understand that religion is an evil, but the "Isms" people would replace it with would be used by the Fundamentalists the same way and cause the same pain and suffering.
Intolerant people will always be able to find reasons to hate and harm each other and everybody else around them.

Edit to above: No Rob. I am Atheist, and an Ignostic, not an Agnostic.

Why do people hate America?

"Unconstrained by any superpower rival or system of global governance, the US giant has rewritten the global financial and trading system in its own interest; ripped up a string of treaties it finds inconvenient; sent troops to every corner of the globe; bombed Afghanistan, Sudan, Yugoslavia and Iraq without troubling the United Nations; maintained a string of murderous embargos against recalcitrant regimes; and recklessly thrown its weight behind Israel's 34-year illegal military occupation of the West Bank and Gaza as the Palestinian intifada rages."

The Guardian, 2001 Sep 13

The fact is; USA is a most killing other people from other countries after World War 2.

And yeah..Al-Qaeda trained by CIA!!!

But they still ask, Why People Hate Us?

well, if you look at the communist movement for one.. they do not allow God to be talked about and they go after anyone that more or less talks about him... they have killed more people in just the USSR than all the world religions have killed in history...

also would like to point out.. that just because a nut case.. says I do this in the name of God.. doesnt mean he really is.. when people hear voice in there head and walk down the street saying.. saint claus told me to do it.. do you think santa is a bad guy or do you look at the tard and say... no your a nut....

i think you need to consider the difference in someone that follow a faith or religion that says something along the lines of...

do on to others as you want done to you.... this = good..

someone saying.. God told me to kill you... = nut job
