Having just had my 3rd treatment Monday - Yes it is safe though best for lighter skin tones as the laser targets pigment. The side effects are redness, some soreness and itchiness. Depending on the strength of the laser you could get some red spots on your face which will go away in a few days and the hairs below the surface will take a few days to push out.
