I met this girl Saturday night and spent the night at her place. The next morning she made sure I got her number and was calling, so I know she wants to hear back from me. The problem is she works nights as a nurse and has a 2 year old kid to take care of, so she's busy and I haven't been able to get a hold of her. She also doesn't have voice mail and I have no idea if she has caller ID! So my question is, how often is it ok to keep trying someone back in these circumstances. I really like this girl, and while I don't want to annoy her or freak her out if she really just can't come to the phone, I also don't want her thinking I'm just not calling her back if she's missing my calls. I tried calling the next afternoon, and then the day after that I tried in the afternoon and evening.

I think most cell phones have caller ID now. But, if you didn't give her your number she might not recognize it. Go to the store, buy a blank card with something cute on the front, write in the card that you tried contacting her a couple of times and since vm isn't set up you couldn't leave a message. Say you had a great time whatever Saturday night it was. Tell her you'd like to see her again. Sign your name and give your phone number. Mail it. Wait 1 week. If she doesn't respond, then forget about it. It was what it was. If she's interested and you do the card thing, she will call you. Good luck. Keep in mind, if she does have called ID and doesn't recognize your number and you keep calling, it's going to look like you're a stalker, try the card thing.

dude if she has a kid i think that shes confused whether or not you can handle the responsibility.and maybe shes making you wait so that you can go wild about her i belive she does have a caller id in this day in age every one has one shes a nurse you say.dont call her that much she might think your overprotective and stalking her. you should give it 2 days which is basicly the law of the call back.

Give it a week.
For one, you have to consider if this was a one night stand for HER.
Two, you have to consider her career AND child - there's alot of time required.

So, I'd say until you know definitely, give her space as that is what she's used to right now. Call her in a week, if you haven't heard from her to say you just wanted to check in with her on how she's doing.
Send her an email or text message checking on her.
She'll appreciate the concern - BUT NOT PRESSURE.

Good luck, bro....
