Where are the elders in this church?!?! The elders are supposed to keep the pastor in check. If this pastor has gotten rid of the elders so he can run the show himself, find another church!

There is no Scriptural requirement that only deacons may participate in serving the Lord's Supper. There is no Scriptural requirement that a church MUST have any deacons at all. However, what troubles me is this pastor actually asked that the deacons resign. On what basis? Were they sinning? Or did they just disagree with the pastor?

You mention this pastor doesn't preach God's word. It's difficult for us to advise you what to do about this because we don't know what he IS preaching and what he ISN'T preaching. Give us an example of what you believe is Scripturally unsound so we can comment.

NONE of us should be judging this allegation without evidence.

If your pastor is no longer preaching God's Word you have every right to leave. That is the most important thing a church does, and if they start to preach anything other than Jesus Christ and Him crucified- you must leave. About asking for resignations- I know that that is done in all churches. I went through 3 or 4 transitions and know that if the new pastor wants to change all people they can- not that this is right- deacons by the way, are lay people too- but I know how you must for feeling- taking choirs away would get me upset as well- I am a musician. Pray about leaving before you leave- and make sure you are leaving because the Lord wants you too- I have experienced this before- may God bless.

What are you conversing approximately. If something they're those that warp the Bible the main to examine their preconceived ideals. they do no longer p.c.. and choose? that's all they do, they forget approximately approximately any passages that conflict. a million people could seem at a million copies of the bible and are available up with a million diverse "doctrines" looking the which skill at the back of a passage is composed of so lots greater effective than looking up verses that helps your ingredient. It is composed of observing the unique texts interior the unique language, and utilising interpretive skills to objective to advance a hypothesis on the which skill the author became into attempting to place across. The westboro baptist church is the main superficial team of self-servicing blasphemers in usa. Edit: i'm no longer doing all your paintings for you, instruct me the verses they use and that i'll help you be attentive to why they're incorrect. the ingredient of this workout is so which you would be able to study the verses in context and spot if the westboro church got here to a logical end. in case you nonetheless think of they make a good ingredient then upload the verse.

Sounds like a pastor we had several years ago. He got rid of Sunday School teachers, asked the church to get rid of the deacons, he would use Sunday mornings for himself to give a music concert, etc. He pitted one group in the church against another. Our deacons asked to meet with him to discuss their differences and he refused. They set up a meeting with a mediary, but he didn't show up. We lost 75% of our congregation while he was there. He was not a man of God. God is not in the business of causing so much division in His church. For your church's sake, I would urge you to stick it out, and pray that God will remove this man from the pulpit. We had to finally resort to having our Director of the Association ask ours to leave. If your pastor's initials are J. A., I know the man. I hope there are not two of them out there.

Just because a man takes on the role of Pastor doesn't mean He is a man of God. If He is not preaching God's word get out of that church. You probably should also report.

God knows before pastor open the church, your former pastor is not a sacred, truthfully, pure, folloeing God's commandments, and never had faith, intention to serve first to god and to the people of devotion spirit as a man of God. If anyone who close the door to God, theire never going to be happy, feel guilty, restless, never going to trust any body, no faith, dissapointment His own personal life. Some times it's better off He left. God knows and pastor know all about His mind thoughts, action, faith, commitement, being sacred, and all taking part of Life true or false. The main church is your Heart, Body, Soul, and How you pleased God by doing good, choosing right and wrong, and be a better Christian than Pastors, or other bigger than you or rest of Christians. Last Judgement every body has to answer, and though theire Pasters, bishops, Pope, or higher than orthers nothing do with god when it comes to God's measure. you do your part and never let down youre self as a true Christian and god is testing all of you. I remember you and the rest of Baptist church members in my Prayers and thoughts. The Lent Season already started, and this period is the best all of you to plead God and repent sins, and be Humble of Servent of God.

If the pastor no longer preaches the word of God, then by all means leave. However I would suggest you talk with the pastor if at all possible to see why he is not preaching the word of God and make it clear why you are leaving.

I think it’s wrong to continue to attend any church that causes you to feel resentment or anger of any kind. This will keep your mind divided between the frustrations at the church and praise for God.

Go find a church that teaches God’s love.

You might want to at least consider different denominations.

There are going to be many churches who turn away from the true teachings of God's word. If your church is doing that, start looking for another one who does teach the true word of God and do not return to yor former church.

It is never wrong to leave a Church if God is not in it. God, himself, will put it in the minds of the governments of the world to destroy all the false religions and he tells us, "Get out of her (Babylon the Great, the world empire of false religion) if you do not want to share with her in her plagues". Pray for God's holy spirit, read your Bible daily and let God lead you to the truth and his holy mountain of true worship.
