That is because the Native American casino billonaire tale is a myth. A common stereotype.
Let me explain:
1. Not all tribes have casinos
2. Not all tribes who have casinos make enough money to go their tribal members.
3. Not all tribes who have casnions and make money give money to their members, sometimes the money just goes to the tribe in general, like to pay for housing programs.
4. Some tribes do make enough money to give money to their enrolled members. However, most of them do not make enough for this amount to be significant. It can be anywhere from a 25$ check to a couple hundred dollars a month.
5. There are a few tribal casinos that rake in the dough. Not many, just a small amount. Usually in this case the tribe sets up a trust fund for its members. Once they turn 18 the money is available to them. It's not a billion dollars by any means or a million. Sometimes these trust funds even have stipulations, like can only be used for education or wait until older to access it. There is one tribe I know of where they allot a substantial amount of money to their members, that comes from the casino, and this is still only about 2,000 a month. That is a nice living but in no way makes them a billionaire or millionaire.
6. Remember Native people have the highest poverty rates. So this billonaire myth is just that. And tribes have expenses that their casino money pays for, that is why they have them. They pay for scholarships or tribal housing or mental health care, honorable things to offer their community.

From what I've been told... Natasha is totally right and probably the best here to tell it.
I can't be certain, but from what I've heard the richest one may not even be a totally legit tribe because MOST of them are not Native or are only very small fraction... How sad is that.

on the grounds that im a community American and member of the Seminole tribe of Florida enable me clarify. a lot of human beings desire to gamble and casinos are patently the final place to that, they are relaxing and generate alot of funds and jobs. yet maximum states wont enable them through fact of playing rules. Tribal land this is owned by potential of community individuals (reservations) are no longer concern to state organic international and gaming rules so the tribe can build a on line casino on the reservation and permit human beings to return on the rez and gamble this makes funds and jobs for the tribe and relaxing for each guy or woman else. its a win, win concern.

I recommend the book "Without Reservation", a story of the founding of Foxwoods. If I remeber right it says that about 200 members of the tribe got incomes of about $60,000 /yr, and the big thing was that at least they could get decent jobs.

The tribes are getting a share of the money, but the majority of it goes to the mafia, just like in Las Vegas. These casinos are just another front for the mob, and since they are on protected Indian land, they don't have to worry about so much oversight by the Federal Government.

In California the Indian casinos make a lot of money and it all goes to the Indians, depending on how pure blood they are a percentage is given every month, so yes they are lots of millionaires and they are the Indians.
