More specifically the permanent markers that are used to write on DVD's. My toddler is away visiting and got into stuff she wasn't suppose to. She has had various baths and cannot get the marker off. it is on her face, and I need to know how to get it off.

Not sure if this works but it is worth a try.

The easiest and quickest way to remove permanent ink from skin is with a spray on, mist-style sunscreen. Just spray it on the spot to be removed and then take a dry cloth or paper towel and wipe it away. If it is not removed completely the first time, repeat and all will be well.

Sorry, tough luck. The permanent marker acts sort of like a crud tatoo ink. It sinks into the skin and actually dyes it. You just have to wait till that skin naturally wears away. One thing I have heard of though, is to use baking soda. I've never uaed it, and since it's on his face I'm not sure if you'd want to. Here's a site anyway with instructions. It's 95 on the list.

You might have to wait for it to wear off, as skin tends to "soak it up." It gets into all the little pores and things, and sometimes you just have to wait.

This sounds funny, but I've had some success with Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. It takes almost anything off of anything, so I tried it on skin, and it actually did help. Just make sure if you use it on a little one that you wash the area with gentle soap afterward and rinse well.

Oops...after I submitted this, I realized that you said it was on her face. I probably wouldn't use a magic eraser on her face. It's a good idea to remember for later, though.

Rubbing alcohol will take a good deal of it off, but that kind of marker goes pretty deep, so it will take a few days. Baby skin regenerates pretty fast.

lol. I usually had to let it take its course. They had to go to school like that too. Mine would have permanent marker fights to see who could mark who up more. A lot of scrubbing and patience.

Time is about all that will work. Unfortunately, nothing else would be safe to put on her skin, especially on her face. It'll wear off eventually.

Nailpolish remover!!! The best is the 100% acetone kind, not the non-acetone. But I think either would be just fine.
