Yesterday, my sister who lives in japan has a vonage ph.
She called 911 for her 2 yr old,who had paper stuck way up her nose. Note! her vonage phone is connected to my address.
Both the police and EMS rang my doorbell at 6:30am, asking if I called 911 for a 2 yr old w/ paper stuck up the nose. I said NO I have a 4 yr old. They came upstairs looked around to see if what I was saying was true.
In my mind I was thinking am I being "punked", but I had no clue my sister's vonage phone in Japan was connected to our home in CT.
Oh! She was looking for the EMS outside her window...Man what a long way to look from CT to Japan! ha ha ha ha ha

That is crazy. But if she would have looked at her vonage paperwork, she would have seen that it says that 911 doesn't work from those phones like it normally does.

Your sister should have known better than call 911... that number is not valid in Japan.
