I'm wondering if Splenda will thiken-up like Sugar when you make Maple Syrup with it (2cups Splenda/1cup Water/1tsp Maple extract).

Well, last time I checked making a simple syrup and adding maple extract does not equal maple syrup. and no splenda will not make the syrup consistency that you want. If you want maple syrup without the real thing. Get some corn syrup heat it up and add real maple extract. Or make a simple syrup using real sugar.

Maple syrup is made from the sap of maple trees, Sugar Maple (Acer Saccharum ) to be exact. The ratio is 35:1.

You can make _fake_ maple syrup with sugar,water, and maple flavoring. Splenda is _supposed_ to work just like the real thing.

maple syrup should be made from maple tree sap. not sugar, splenda or anything else. it just wont be maple syrup
