Firstly, Im so sorry for your loss. Secondly, contact the media. The media would prompt them into action. Try "America's Most Wanted" or CNN. Once there is media attention, you should get some actions, and as for those local authorities, they may get in trouble for not doing anything. Then again, there may not be enough evidence to do anything, so they did all they could.

Or they decided to make a run to Dunkin' Donuts instead, so you should kick their butts into gear. You deserve some answers, heck you deserved them eight years ago.

Check the the police and obtain the official police report. From there you will find who conducted the investigation and what they concluded. Find out who your son's friends and acquaintances were. Most murders are committed by someone known by the victim. Be prepared to talk to a lot of people. Criminal investigations almost always are solved by face to face interviews. What you see on TV and the movies is NOT how an investigations work.

Without any more details, we can't help you any further. Also, 8 years is a long time to start up the investigation again. Be prepared for a lot of dead-end leads.

I am sooo sorry, the pain of losing a child never goes away. I would contact a private investigator, they are independent of law enforcement. Most have worked in law enforcement before and know what to look for. There probably won't be tooo many leads after 8 years, sooo any files from the police will be crucial to your investigation. Perhaps he can find something that the police overlooked. I wish you and your family only the best.

Have you spoke with a lawyer? This is just crazy! There was no investagation on his murder. Do you live out of the states?

I am so sorry for you. But if you want some investigation then I think you should call the police and tell that you would like some investigation done. Even though, if you lost him 8 years ago, then you probably won't find anything, but there is always hope.

I'm sorry for your loss, I would suggest you get a lawyer and contact your local newspapre/telivision reporters who can put the story in public.Do you have any idea of who would hate or dislike him enough to kill him? That could narrow you down a little bit.Take all details and bring them to the police too.If it happened 8 years ago you could be ;ucky enough to know that the creep is dead.

If it was a murder, there would have been an investigation (In the US anyway). If it was ruled something else, well...police are not going to try to solve a crime that did not happen.

this is a downright shame--go straight to the Attorney General of your state or hire an attorney to help you. With all the "cold case" tv shows now maybe you will have better luck now--I sure hope so.

Try contacting a newspaper reporter from your area. Most TV stations have investigative reporters try to talk to one or two. Get the media involved. I would email Nancy Grace on TV and see if she will check into it for you.
