Has anyone taken their child to Shriners, and do you feel the physcian that treated your child did a "good job". Do you feel the treatment was above par, or adequate?

I have been taking my daughter to Shriners for the treatment of bilateral clubfeet, and she is NOT responding to their treatment. They seem to practice their "version" of the Ponseti method..

While I DO feel they have made some improvment with Bailees' feet, NO x-rays have been taken, and my concerns have NOT been addressed.I have been in contact with Dr. Ignacio Ponsetti and will be flying to Ohio for the "correction, and proper Ponsetti method"
Shriners is a WONDERFUL facility, however, I don't feel like they are doing as much as can be done. But MAYBE I am being a "pushy" mommie. But darnit, I wasnt my little girl to have hte BEST treatment.

As a physician I have had an opportunity to observe treatment both at their orthopedic hospitals and burn hospitals and found them excellent.

Here in Honduras, there is a charity program which has taken around 200 kids to that hospital and most of them have responded satisfactorily to the treatment not to mention how many lives they have saved because of the serious injuries some of this kids had. So I guess they're pretty good at it. Besides there's is a group of doctors from Shriners coming in every year to check on the kids that received medical treatment; so they seem very profesional to me.

I absolutely have not, yet I absolutely have a buddy who did. Her toddler female became born with extreme cleft palate and she ought to no longer locate the money for the surgical treatment the toddler mandatory. The Shriners wellbeing facility took care of it and they did a really reliable job. additionally they assisted her with followup care, yet another surgical treatment that had to be done many years later, and speech treatment, and that i do not bear in thoughts what all! Her daughter is now graduating intense college this year and is doing o.k.. i imagine they did a best job. So sorry on your undesirable journey! it ought to ensue everywhere, no longer in simple terms Shriners. Prayer has been despatched up on your toddler!
