I can see at the focal point of my vision, a small circle of dots that seem to be flowing from bottom left to top right. When I was young I thought it was rotating, but nope, as I get older it looks like a flow of blood platelets. It is always at the focal point of vision and if I concentrate I can make it clearer and appear larger.

would suggest that you make an appointment at the opticians and discuss it with them, it may be nothing but the eyes can give indications of other illness's/conditions. what does an eye test cost now - £15/£20 - a small price to pay for reassurance!

I've gotten a dot like you describe. I hear it's when you get a tiny tear in your ....eye parts (sorry, I'm not a doctor..). Do you see flashes of light sometimes out the corner of your eye? That's a sign of it too. I'm too chicken to see my optometrist in case he says I need an urgent eye removal, or something just as creepy.

I have had moments where I thought I dectected some sort of minute objects in normal daylight, but not dim light.
Never had any problem with my vision, though.
