Snickers, because it is sweet with a touch of saltiness from the peanuts and Carmel. Although eating the whole candy bar at once is a little to much, but still a great candy bar

Of today's candy bars, I'd have to say the Symphony Bar, because of it's delightful blend of milk chocolate, toffee bits and almonds.

My ALL TIME favorite candy bar is the "ChocoLite" bar, which was very popular in the 70's and has since been discontinued. It was a milk chocolate bar what was whipped to the nth degree, making the chocolate bar stand almost a full inch high, and the tiny air bubbles inside were somehow "crispy" if you can imagine that. In all, these full size candy bars probably had the chocolate content of a Hershey's kiss, but they tasted amazing and I enjoyed them more than any other candy bar since then.

Edit to post: Oh YES Jean, the Marathon bar is another classic! I could nurse one of those for quite a while! Thanks for the trip down candy bar memory lane. :-)

If I had seen such a question years ago I would have said MARS bar... but for the last five years or so I find that all the candy bars are horrible: they taste like a mixture of soft greasy lard and sugar.... and a phony chocolate taste... and sometimes some dregs of stale peanuts etc....
someone said that a "candy bar" is not the same as a "chocolate bar" - that the choc. bar has to have more cocoa bean in...?? therefore it tastes better.....
so now I buy a plain Cadbury's chocolate bar...it's good,
but I sure miss the way the Mars bars used to taste and the texture it used to have, instead of sugary mush

I love symphony bars - the ones with the little pieces of toffee in them. But I'll also take a classic Hershey bar with almonds. I'm a pretty basic girl.

The ChocoLite bar from the seventies was really great but my favorite was the Marathon bar, it was about 10" long and it was made from the most creamy, wonderful chocolate over what almost looked like braided caramel. Gosh I miss those!!

My favorite ever is Alpine White! It was white chocolate with almonds. YUM! Alas, they make it no more. Now I get either Symphony or Snickers with almonds. (Yes, I like almonds....)
