My boyfriend of almost ten months always says "I love you" before I leave and during the day. His dad though said that he shouldn't say it. Should we be saying "I love you (too)" to eachother?

Well ive been in this situation to, when i first got with my now husband whenever either one of us left the room we would kiss and say i love you. This does wear off as we've now been together 12 years and although we do still say it once or twice a day, its not as regular. This is'nt a bad thing though as now when he says it it means more to me and vice versa. Just go with the flow and do what you feel is right at the time, dont listen to anyone else after all how are they to tell you how you should feel!

How can we answer that. U should know how u feel. However, saying that u love someone is not all that serious. love is a feeling that everyone feels at some point or another. It comes and goes and comes and goes. It has little to do with committment. It's not like you said that u want to get married or have kids, it's just love.

If thats the way you feel then why wouldn't you say it. Maybe your Dad doesn't think that he loves you. You should say it if you feel it...don't just say it because you have been going out for a centain amount of time. Love is a strong word.

Love is something you and ur loved one experience. Not everyone's love is the same. If you feel like saying it, go ahead and say it, dont have to think abut anyone. It is importan you make your boyfriend what you feel. Forget about his father, after all he would have had his days too.... Good luck gurl

if you are ready to say it and if you really love him then yes! don't be afraid of what others think! they aren't you and cant make you someone your not! if you love him, then next time if you see him say it out loud and give him one big kiss! if others don't except the way you feel about him, then they are not true friends or family! family should be happy if your happy and just help you through

His dad's a ****. If he truely loves you, then he should have all the right in the world to say it. As should you, unless you really don't feel the same.

If he loves you and feels that he should tell you then it is up to him...not his Dad, unless his Dad is hot for you too and it bothers him to think that his son is with you instead of him.

10 months is a long time. you should only say it if you really feel you are in love. if you are a teenager still then no its too early.
