In the paranoid form of this disorder, the scizophrenics develop delusions of persecution or personal grandeur.
Paranoid shizophrenics believe that people are out to get them. Many times they believe that everyone from the doctors to the nurses to family member are conspiring against them

Just another name. Got diagnoised with the first one in the 70's and then schizto affective 25 years later. There is hope as long as the suffer stays away from drugs and alcohol. That seems to trigger episodes . The doctors only know a little and do the best they can with medicine. They have come a long ways in the last 25 years but I believe alot of my recovery had to do with finally surrendering to a higher power and have a willness to change .

Paranoid sounds to me an aggravated version of schizophrenia. Do a wikipedia or google search to find out.

schizofrenia is basically a warped sense of reality that ussually does no harm (may make you a little wierded out)
paranoid schizofrenia is the same thing with the exception being in the sufferers sense of reality everything is out to get them and can cause many other problems in some cases suicide to escape what i is they fear.
