I recently emigrated to Canada and its the best move i've ever done!!
The obvious, best place to start looking would be the Aus goverment website, because ulimately it would be thier forms that you are filling in.
Also go to www.britishexpats.com this one website is an online community for well um...expats (don't think you have to be British to join!!) and is fantastic, it will point you in the right direction and if you get stuck just post a question and people in the same boat as you will help you out.
Good luck, Moving countries is hard work but damn its worth it!!

some of them are very good and take care of every detail, at a cost of course. Go to the embassy website you should get all the information there.
The other sites are handy to see if you are even close with your points and for information on what other routes you can take.
New Zealand slightly easier to get into, then you get go from New Zealand to Australia

I think you need to be able to support yourself financially if you want to move to Australia. It's a pity we don't apply that to people coming in to the UK.
Good luck if you go there though, it's something I've always wanted to do.
