can a mechanical o/d trans be swapped with a elec o/d trans?

have 89 mechanial o/d trans and need to put it in a 94 electric o/d truck

Almost anything can be done given enough time, effort and money.
I would get a trans from a salvage yard for the 94, and sell the 89 to defray the cost.
