As others have already implied, faith and evolution are actually not on an identical time unique. The Catholic Church accepts evolution, basically like they now settle for that the Earth revolves around the solar - some people have been burned on the stake for claiming that one some hundred years in the past. maximum mainstream religions do likewise. The bastion of creationism is interior the the U. S. and the fundamentalist Christian religions. that's the reason the U. S. is falling at the back of in technology education, because of the fact they disrupt and tension compromise onto the technology curriculum in faculties. specific, i'm able to take a seat here and believe that i became into initially another organism, because of the fact this is the sole element that's clever to me. Why else could I share DNA with a chimpanzee, if I wasn't proper? Why could my DNA be greater reminiscent of a gorilla than to a hummingbird, if I wasn't greater heavily related to the Gorilla? in case you may get previous the offence you experience at being a branch of the ape kinfolk, you may see this as nicely. you're saying that there are too many holes in Evolution. the place? Are those gaps basically products of evolution which you do no longer settle for? Or are they genuine lacking areas of expertise? because of the fact evolutionary concept has been supported via each branch of technology for the reason that Darwin proposed his concept, even sciences which got here after him, rather Genetics, which no longer basically supported evolution, yet defined the way it befell right down to the molecular point. the place are the gaps? There are actually not any problems with evolution, basically reasonable advancements to how the thought works, the elementary premise maintains to be unchanged. in assessment to the various creation motives such because of the fact the Judeo-Christian, Australian Aborigine, Sumerian, Navaho and so on and so on. the place is the data for them? specific, we are able to be attentive to. that's what thousands and thousands of scientists world extensive do with their lives. They paintings and learn biology and different sciences, and that they do it acceptable in the event that they do no longer seem to be laden via having to comprise faith of their paintings or teachings. because of the fact, frankly, Creationism in any of its guises, is a millstone to scientific fulfillment. It basically encourages lively lack of information, and the education of those dealing with college now will basically go through because of the fact of it. . .

i dont know, but to me, it is increasingly possible that the book of genesis is at least 5% myth, having a form of truth but not as it is understood today.
its just a possibility, reading the book of urantia, and the story of genesis might give you some understanding of what i mean.

for example was the nephelim fallen angels fornicating with the daughters of men? or were they the children of Adam that rejected the gospel of the messiaah and chose to love satan more? Some people believe angels dont have sex organs, while others say they are hermaphrodite? but for angels to choose to have sex and beget the nephelim, means they had to have some kind of sex organs. Right?
i think it was Z Sitchen who says the gods had slaves who dig for gold at one time in earths history. I think there were others who say this planet was a Prison planet where all the criminals were sent. So according to the urantia book genesis account there were already people existing here When Adam and Eve came.

How can you believe something that has no basis in fact, reality, nor can be in any way taken seriously. Science knows that the earth is over 6000 years old, no matter what EE's (Evil Evangelicals) tell you. Science knows there was life long before man came on the scene. Science knows the Universe is at least 10 billion years of age. Genesis is merely a parable, a descriptive way for primitive thinking people of the time to explain what science is beginning to.

BTW you cheapen your argument when you use terms like 'idiot', it makes you look small and petulant.

Yes...their own ignorance must astound them. There they sit, 96 per cent of the population of eminent scientists in America, non-believers all. It must keep them awake at night, studying and learning more every day, exploring our origins, our planet and our society, trying so hard to contribute to the advancement of humankind, yet unable to embrace the cold, hard reality of an omnipotent deity that creates the entire world in six days and must rest on the seventh. I don't know how they do it, really, especially Bill Gates. I mean, he really needs to give his head a shake.

Try reading the book of Genesis with an eye to educated writing, and you will find as I did it is in short poorly formed sentences and many make no sense. How can anyone take it seriously. God is in his fermament. Where did Heaven come in?
