I have a friend who had a baby 5 months ago and she isn't sure of who her baby's father is due to a bunch of descrepancies that happened during the pregnancy and the birth.
She wants to know who the father is but one of the guys is not around at all and the other one is refusing a test in case its not his afterall, he says he wouldnt be able to handle the truth. What should she do?

If she applies for child support they will order the paternity test to be done whether he wants to or not. If he refuses the court order they may assume him to be the father and place an order of support on him.
My question would be why wouldn't he want to know the truth? Is to get out of paying support for his child if indeed it is his?
she should definitely determine the biological father of her child, for the child's sake and her own peace of mind.
There should not be a cost to her for the test. Usually the father has to pay it or the county will.

all she has to do it go to the nearest domestic relations office and file for child support she needs to have the fathers address and full name also his social security number is good. they will file against him and he will have the option of eith paying the support or a dna test if it comes back to be his kid then he has to pay the court costs and dnc test costs. if its neg she can name them the other guy and the cost for the first test will be paid for by the state.

Get a court order to two test both men. She should contact your local court house to find out the exact steps involved to get this going.
If she finds out is costs something and she cannot afford it, contact Maury.

No he is refusing because he knows he will have to pay child support if its his!! If she sues him for child support the court will make him do it.

She should go to his home and try to work it out. Okay, it's really to use his restroom and get some hair samples. But it's worth a try!

She can't force him ofcourse but if she's willing to go through the court they can force him. He will either do it or go to jail.
