Anyone here watch wife swap?

Question

Did u see monday's episode of Wife swap? Where one family eats only raw food for a year. and when they started eating cooked food. they got sick. Why is that?

and is it better to eat raw food or cooked food?

The cooked food hurt their stomach because they were not used to digesting cooked food. Not to mention the lady took them to get greasy hamburgers and fries. Grease can hurt anyones stomach especially people that haven’t had any grease in such a long time. Uncooked food is very dangerous because it has a greater chance of giving you food poisoning. People have died from eating uncooked meat. Food poisoning aside, raw meat is just as healthy as cooked meat….its just disgusting.

I didn't see it, but I do think it's definitely an alternative eating habit. Just like vegetarians feel sick if someone used even chicken broth to make something. The body isn't used to it.

As an aside, I just read an article from the Des Moines Register about that show. Dept. of Human Services has been getting calls and emails since it aired saying the kids in the raw food family were being neglected due to the wacky eating habits and the sheer filth of the house. And she wakes her kids up every 2-3 hours for a walk and that kefir concoction.

Definitely a strange family. I can say that, I used to live in Iowa, and it's not indicative of the whole state.

I follow a primarily raw diet. Raw foods have the enzymes needed to digest itself. That enzyme action is why potatoes grow eyes-they are trying to replant themselves. The same thing happens in the body when consumed raw-it doesnt put a draw on the enzymes of the digestive track. Three years ago, I was completely crippled with lupus and arthritis, and other health issues. Now, after 3 years of raw, I am totally healed. When I do eat cooked food, my symptoms return. I would have resisted this whole theory before seeing the results for myself. I was a die hard meat eating fool. Now that I know the truth about food, I am much better, as is my daughter. We have resolved too many problems through raw diet, to not believe in the concept of it. I find the best thing is to not judge someone unless you have walked a mile in their shoes. Most people think I am a wacko for following this diet. They dont realize that I think they are for not educating themselves about what they are putting in their body. I try not to judge others, and wish they wouldnt judge me-my dietary changes came about through years of distress.

I hate the girls' names (assuming Shasha and Sheba are females). Ezekiel isn't too undesirable.. that is no longer too uncommon or unusual, and Zeke is a gorgeous nickname. i actually love the call Malachi, even nonetheless if I have been to apply it, i might replace the spelling as human beings might probable mispronounce it somewhat lots. Ezekiel - 6/10 Shashamane - a million/10 Malachi - 8.5/10 Sheba - 2/10

Guess it is conditioning. Body gets used to food taken over a period of time; whatever . Nothing to do with cooked or uncooked.
In fact, uncooked is more difficult to digest.

i reading the book, The Cure, which talks about raw veggies, lemon aid, raw fruits & veggies, but after seeing that, NO raw meat for me, that was totally sick & disgusting, who knows, maybe world leaders are eating raw meat right now to survive the holicaust??? what the _____ is high meat? i'm going to throw up

it was probably because their bodies were conditioned to eat raw food, and when you cook something, you chemically alter it. your body can get used to almost anything, especially if that's all you eat!

I saw that episode and was grossed out.A raw diet of veggies is acceptable,but meat isn't.
