No. There is no hell.

2007-02-21 01:26:45 · answer #1 · answered by Bad Liberal 7 · 0 1

No, a person will go to Hell if they fail to trust in the sacrifice of Jesus Christ as payment for their sin debt. Jesus is the only one who could offer Himself up as a sacrifice for the sins of others because He is the only one who had no sin debt of his own to pay.

Since Jesus is the eternal Son of God, He could offer up once in a moment of time a fully sufficient sacrifice for all people who by faith would trust in his finished work on the cross throughout the ages.

Hebrews 10:11 And every priest stands daily at his service, offering repeatedly the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. 12 But when Christ had offered for all time a single sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God, 13 waiting from that time until his enemies should be made a footstool for his feet. 14 For by a single offering he has perfected for all time those who are being sanctified.

Yes, if they do not repent of their sins, come to faith in Jesus, and follow Him. For Biblical perspectives on abortion, see:

Great Question.
Tough Question.
Hopefully and honest question.
The fact that you're asking this could mean A. You've had an abortion and feel bad about it. or B. You're thinking about having one and might feel bad about it.

Know that people make decisions all the time that seem right at the time and later feel bad about it. If God didn't let people into heaven b/c of bad decisions then no one would get into heaven. In fact the bible does say that "no one is good" and no one can get into heaven by their "not doing bad things"....so in light of this you're in the same boat as the rest of us. We all make decisions that we feel bad about later. That is why Jesus came- He came to help- and to forgive us of all the bad things we do- things we feel bad about- He is surprised by nothing and there is nothing that is too bad for Him to forgive.

I don't know... if it was the person's own fault for being pregnant, then they should suffer some consequences, but if the abortion is to save the mother's life, then I cannot blame her.

Heaven is the presence of God. To feel the presence of God you must ask for forgiveness, forgive others and forgive yourself. I think this is the part that keeps many women from finding peace of mind after an abortion. God WILL forgive you. You must forgive others of everything and you must forgive yourself.

It's something you are going to have to live with. That might turn out to be hell, but as for the inferno, who really knows?

Sweetie there is no hell, so if you or someone you know has had an abortion, there's no need to worry.

My thoughts are that women who have aborted feel guilty about it--sooner or later---either missing that child, or wondering about it, or KNOWING it was not right--
BUT, I believe God forgives a sincere heart that is sorry for doing it. He is a loving God.
He will comfort AND give forgiveness--Once and For All.

I think Satan would bring it to mind, but GOD is the Ruler of ALL THINGS, and Once you are FORGIVEN, You are ALWAYS FORGIVEN.

WHAT AN AWESOME GOD WE SERVE!

IF:

They knew abortion was seriously wrong and did it anyway, with full consent of their will,

AND

they failed to sincerely apologize to God for their sin,

AND

they failed to change their ways, and would do it again,

PERHAPS.

God is the judge.

Only if they hadn't placed their faith in Christ. Having an abortion does not disqualify you from the gift God has freely given us all.
