Well, it could be possible he likes her but the more likely answer would be that he likes her braclet/watch. He could want to buy a simular one for his mother, sister, girlfriend or even.......wife. To assume a simple converstaion such as this means a person is into you is to much of an assumption to make. And remember never assume as you'll make an A*S of U and ME.

don't over analyse this. if someone likes you, there's a whole lot of combinations of action and words that they display to hint of it.
