Prayer is very powerful, therefore so are your words. People really don't understand the meaning of becareful of what you say. You can speak damnation or speak life. If you are meditating with Jesus and you are using your thoughts in a sense to speak to Him, then that would be a form of prayer in my mind. He knows your heart even before you speak. Just say Amen. All prayers will come to pass (eventually).

The purpose of prayer is to establish a channel of communication with the divine. Regardless of your religiion I believe there are entities of cosmic social workers. You can call them gods, goddesses, angels, ancestor spirits, or ETs. Some even believe that they are our own higher selves from which our conciousness originated before manifesting in this reality. The stronger your connection the more positive energy and truth you can channel into the here and now.

Jesus said to pray to his Father ONLY. See Matt. 6:9.

No problem from this circle. Its your right as a human being (God-given right?) to worship (or not worship) the almighty as your conscience dictates....the very meaning of the 1st amendment and the Virginia Act of Religious Freedom.

gosh, you can just breathe a prayer, without even closing your eyes.

God listens ANYWHERE you are!

I THINK I see what you are saying. You feel His presence more, when you meditate-right?
I tell you--He is right there with you, right now, you can talk to Him JUST like you can a friend.

Prayer is connecting with God. This can be accomplished in as many ways as we are unique. God desires fellowship with us and reveals Himself to us in different ways. I believe our response - as in prayer - can be just as unique. Communicating, speaking and listening, is essential when relationship is the desired outcome. Bottom line...connect with God. Jesus is God.

Truthfully, I am praying this is not the same clone who keeps resurrecting a dull cameo here that no one appreciates.

He knows what it in your heart. How you pray isn’t nearly as important as the true feelings in your heart.

If it finally gives you peace and love in your heart instead of your usual hate, then go for it.
