Hey- my mum runs a weight watchers group (actually she runs 2, one in greenwich, one in lewisham), if you need help she can see you at a meeting?
I have heard others stories as I am oftern at the group helping out with the shop/meeting...etc, I can say that lots of people find attending the meetings helpful. I dont think its so much whats said at the meetings- though undoubtedly this is useful information and to be listened to. I do think its the moral support of both the leader and other members, this doesnt appear eveident until you've been there for a few weeks- then you build up a rapport witht the others and see the loss is possible- its one thing to KNOW you can loose weight, its a whole different one to BELIEVE you can actually do it.
I know from my own personal experience of eating disorders (I have had anorexia and bulimia for 10 years- I am now 25), that food is a very emotive issue for everyone- try to separate your feelings from your food- maybe write that food will not fix your mood in the longer term- and pin it too the fridge/your wallet/ the breadbin. There is a good and simole book by susie orbach called "on eating" see if you can get hold of a copy through the library/book store, it talks more about this, it is to be read slowly, not speed read, it doesnt say anything new, it does remind you of the reality of your food.
Try to go to the meetings with friend,/teel supportive people that you are going, so it becomes a motivation to go back to them to say "I'VE DONE IT!"
remember it will come off- bit by bit, not all at once, it takes patience- this is good to remember when you reach for something not on your meal plan, if you recall how HARD it is to loose the weight, maybe you wont want the food you pick so much
It is ok to make a few mistakes, as long as you plan for them or around them, yes it will put you at a further distance from your goal weight, but if you dont "sod the diet" every time and cave into eating with no caution, you will be better off than if you give up just as soon as you make a small slipup.
It may feel difficultt until you get up to a momentum, you need to keep at it and it will get easier I promise, you will get used to it and it will fell normal, and not like you are denying youself stuff all the time.
Keep going and speak to your leader, thats what you pay your money for. If your leader isnt helping you then maybe find a better group. Finding the right leader isnt about the most popular, its about finding someone who can understand your problems and help. Some leaders have experience of loosing weight with kids and a family, some have experience of loosing weight and nott comfort eating, some have experience of stopping the bige drinking/unhealthy eating patterns gained through a buisy job/career.
If you ge=t to the meetings and have to wait- usually before or after being weighed, try talking to the other members, see how they are doing, if possible find a gold member and ask how they experienced it. Anyone who says "it was easy" is clearly lying as otherwise they wouldnt have enlisted the support of attending a group.
also, read the books and literiture they give to you, rent out books from the library and keep reminding yourself of the bigger picture- why you are doing this and what benefits you will get from it.
good luck.

I can sympathize with what you are dealing with. Losing weight is a battle that alot of people face. Some people dont realize that you cant just stop eating. Food becomes like a drug but its worse than crack because you and walk in to any resturant or store and find junk food. Temptation is the down fall for most people struggling with losing lbs. I found motivation in my daughter. I didn't want to be the "Fat" mommy. I wanted to be able to run and play with my daughter and not have to sit down after 2 minutes. I also didnt want to leave my daughter before my time. Being healthier was more important that looking better. Looking better is always good and the attention when people start telling you they can tell you that you are losing modivates. I also do give into temptation once in a while. I crave sweets so what i normally do if i am at a resturant or bday party at the office i will take a few small bites to satisfy my urge but then i pour salt or peper all over the cake or desert so that way i am not going to eat it. I also keep a "fat" picture of me on the fridge to keep me from over eating. I hope that i gave you a few ideas on how to help you. Good Luck and Keep at it.

Have you not noticed that this is the pattern. It is not in WWs interest for you to lose weight successfully and never go back. Switch to a low GL diet as advocated by Patrick Holford. You will be eating more food, will never get hungry, will re-educate your palate, have loads of energy and will be healthier at the end. A good diet is one where you do not have to use willpower and where your new weight is for ever (weithout having to calorie count etc). We have been brainwashed - low fat dieting does not work, you only have to look around to see the evidence.

There is no reason why you can't eat out, Just follow your points, and eat the correct portion size. When i was on weight watchers I ate everything from my saturday morning Boston creme Donut to Chinese Food and Pizza! And I STILL Lost 20 Pounds! You MAY NOT be eating enough. Eat Normally, and count your points. My sister made the big mistake of eating everything that read "Fat Free" and didn't lose a pound. The counselor said she was not getting enough fat in her diet to lose anything. So don't think you have to eat Majorly Healthy to lose weight. You just eat what you normally eat, and in the right portion size. It's OK to eat Pasta, Eggs, Bacon, etc. That is why they give you the little book...look through it, and see where you can eat, and what to order to coincide with your points.

Either you want to lose weight or not. If you do just do it stop eating sh!t and stick to the diet. If you don't really want to lose weight, stop punishing yourself and just forget weight watchers.
If you really wanted to do it, it wouldn't be hard because you would be motivated.

Always have vegetables on side. Saute a big bag regarding frozen mixed vegetables in extra virgin olive oil and garlic. Add some red pepper as well as turmeric for additional flavor and separate into portion-sized containers for the fridge.

Distracted dining are certain to get you in trouble. Avoid eating looking at a television or in a movie theater, as you're bound to consume more calories.

With breakfast, go ahead and drink orange juice. But throughout all of those other day, focus on water as opposed to juice or soda
