Yes, I am also a regular blood donor. And proud to be. I know there's a lot of fear that hospital personnel won't look after donor card carriers as well because they supposedly want our organs (!!) but in my experience they treat donors with respect.

No - for personal reasons, I don't wish to be a donor.
Most of my relatives are donor card carriers, but remember that aswell as carrying a card, you should join the donor register: http://www.uktransplant.org.uk/ukt/how_to_become_a_donor/registration/consent.jsp

Yes, though the info on my card is probably well out of date now as I got it about 7 years ago! Maybe I should check.
If you can save just one life then it's worth it I think.

yes i am. My father survived 13 years afterhis heart transplant. I thank god for the donor who allowed our family 13 wonderful years to share with this wonderful man. He passed Jan.2nd of this year. And it was not transplant related.

no, I would rather the doctors were thinking about how to save me than what they can do with my bits. The cards are not required anyway, aslong as they have the permission from my immediate family.

no, but I can't- between having meningitis and malaria..no one wants my blood or anything else *LOL* even vampires stay away from me. best I can do is help out by handing out juice and cookies at blood drives
