I asked a question whether or not ladies obtain a man's SS# before sleeping with him. Every single one of you thought that it was strange and basically an invasion of privacy. QUESTION: What do you think is more precious your body or your social? You think of identity theft and all the possilbe wrongs that can be made against you with someone having that valuable information.
Do you all not feel that when you engage in sexual activities with someone that you are not only opening your body up to that person but also your soul. I believe that the invasion of your soul can create far greater loss would occur with a social security number. What do you think which one is more precious your social or you soul?

I think I'll ask this question in Philosphy to see what the "Great Thinkers" of our nation feel about this.

Which country are you referring to? The internet is used by several countries....of course your buddies in the 'philosophy' section should bring this to your attention. Why do you ask a question and then get upset if you don't get the answers that you want? That is the magic of this forum....you get to read all opinions and views. Maybe you are just a lonely woman hater who is looking to have your 'holier than thou' moral opinions validated....do ya think!

Obviously, you have an issue with the reality of what you've asked.
There's no problem with you having your opinion about demanding a guy's SS# before YOU sleep with him. However, you will find resistance because of the privacy, security (identity theft), and moral issues surrounding that.
If you demand a guy's SS# before you sleep with him, you're in the minority. Furthermore, if the guy that DOES give it to you - is what you consider trustworthy, I'd beg to differ. I mean, he did GIVE you his SS#. He may give YOURS out, too.
Or....would you not provide the same information?
I'm sure that if you did, you may have a jacked up credit report if you EVER did a guy wrong that had your information.

Inquiring minds want to know...................and for your class "You can not give the mind what it can not digest."

i love my soul very much but even if i asked a guy for ss number before sleeping w/ him idk what i'd do with it. i'd need some government contact or a cop to dig up dirt for me. not everyone has those kind of contacts you know. secondly, there are other ways of finding out if a guy is trustworthy then getting his SS number. you wait... until you've known him for a long enough time & trust him and feel comfortable. if you don't feel comfortable or trusting, i wouldn't sleep with him even if he had a pristine record! it's more important he's honest and kind.

i understand you want to be safe, but it's a bit impractical, what you're saying
