I can't beleive some of these stupid answers!!!

First is to get your dog to look at you. You can do this by holding a small treat or kibble in your fingers let the dog know you have it by letting him sniff it. Then slowly bring the treat up to your eye and say LOOK. When he has made eye contact with you for a moment or 2 give him the treat and praise him. You have to repeat this several times and when he can do this by you just saying LOOK. Then move on to sit. Take a treat in your fingers and slowly raise it over the dogs head until he will naturally sit. Sometime you may have to just touch his butt. Do this several time each day unit he will sit just by your say sit. Always give the treat when he does it right and praise, praise praise. Once he has mastered sit then stay is next. Stand beside your dog and plae your hand fully open in front of his face and say stay. Take a few steps away from him. If he stays then give him the treat if not then bring him back to the spot where you started and repeat the excersise. He will get it sooner or later. some dogs pick this up relly quickly some don't. All these Commands take time for the dog to learn do not lump all in one training session. Master them one by one.

I'm sorry I don't understand what you mean by lean.

Hope this helps.

Sit - have a treat in your hand and put your hand near the top of his nose and say sit, if you just hold it there for a while he should automatically sit for you, repeat several times and hey presto.

Stay - tell him to stay in one place and then walk away, each time he moves, take him back to the place he came from and repeat, then call him and say 'come' or something and give him a treat, just start with a small distance and then gradually walk further away. Make sure you treat him when he comes to you!

Lean - I have never heard of this command so cannot advise you

If your dog is a natural leaner it's easy. Every time you catch him in his natural behavior - leaning show him more attention than you would when he's not leaning. He'll want the attention so he'll lean.

If he's not a leaner then you lean into him. Give him attention then, he'll learn from the pressure that is being applied that he gets more attention than when it's not.

Good Luck

You have to train him. Use patience, persistence and treats. Each time he does something you want him to - reward him. When he doesnt, ignore him - dogs hate to be ignored! As long as you are both persistent and consistent, this should work. Dont know about teaching him to lean!!!

FOOD.

dogs love treats

To sit....

hold a treat in front of his face

Say "sit" firmly and lightly push down on his Bottom.....
thats how i taught Dave

do that a couple ov times and he will catch on.....

Hmm to stay.....

Sit him down in the middle of the room. hold the treat and sowly walk away from him repeating the word "stay"

if he does then walk up to him and give him the treat!
if he disobeys then punish him how you think is appropriate!
e.g tap on the nose and refuse to givehim a treat,,,,

Dogs age also depends on hw easy it is to teach dogs tricks!!!

my other dog Zack was 9mnths when i taught him

Speak, sit, paw, lay, stay, roll over and stand!
