It is Espresso and so many people make the error of pronouncing it as expresso...which would be quite apt considering its a speedy coffee to have! but no it is espresso!

Espresso, no doubt in Italy- If you are in Spain, you need to say Expresso. That's the way it goes, otherwise rather order coffee:-)

Espresso is the original Italian word. It got americanized into "expresso".
Both mean the same - an "express" coffee, a quickly made coffee. But since it originates from italy, the original word is the correct one.
