Muhammad, unlike the Christ or the Prophet Moses, is never said to have conversed directly with God. In fact, it posits the existence of Gabriel (angel of the Annunciation) as some kind of go-between. Given that the Koran is a mixture of Old/New Testament sources, how can Islam still consider it inviolate in any possible way? When will literary criticism and scholarly redaction tear the myth to shreds...

*Sigh* Get over it. We're not gonna stop believing Islam is the Right Path and that Muhammad (peace be upon him) was the last prophet of God just because you claim he didn't know God...especially when it's obvious that you know nothing about what he taught.
NO prophet talked DIRECTLY to God, so stop lying, buddy. Yeah, sure according to SOME of the Books in your Bbible, Jesus is God and/or God's son. But the truth is that Prophet Moses was the only prophet who spoke directly to God. What, are you telling me Muhammad was the only one who DIDN'T??!! What about Abraham??! ANd Noah? And Ishmael or Joseph or any of the others? NONE of them spoke directly to God, buddy, NONE!
Angel Gabriel was a go-between EVERY prophet (I guess except Moses) since no prophet besides Moses spoke directly to God.
MYTHS??????? LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Who's living the myth here, huh? Tell me.
-- What's the purpose of Christmas? Some Christians even dare to claim that Jesus was born on Christmas! Oh, PLEASE!!! Was he, really? Where did you people get that idea from?
-- Who's Santa? Why do you Christians lie to your innocent little kids about some fake being when you KNOW you're lying? And then those little kids grow up to painfully be told that, "Oh, by the way, kid, Santa isn't real. We were just telling you that because everyone else does it, and it's a Christian belief." Oh come ON!!! Lying is a sin, you know that? You can make kids happy in many other ways; no need to lie about some Santa who comes down the chimney to bring them gifts. How heartbreaking it must be!
-- The TRINITY! Let's talk about that a bit, shall we?
Do you have ANY idea where the concept of Trinity came from? Some sources will tell you that it's a concept created by PAGANS!!!! (And then "St." Paul adopted it from them and claimed it's what Jesus taught! How sad!! These aren't my wrod; look it up yourself.) Look, do your innocent self a BIG favor and look up some facts about Paul, will you? He "converted" to Christianity only and only to distory Jesus' teachings; read Paul's PERSONAL letters and such to see it for yourself. Open your eyes and learn the Truth because PAUL is known to have been the FOUNDER of Trinity in Christianity (and hence, the founder of modern Christianity). Jesus taught nothing of the sort, and you Christians even admit that the Gospel was sent AFTER Jesus had been (supposedly) "crucified." If Jesus wasn't there to make sure that the teachings of the Gospel were accurately spread about, how can you then be so sure of what he taught? It's even been recorded that the witnessed Jesus' "crucifixion" didn't live long enough to record the Gospel.
-- Oh, and why do you follow the Gospel if (as you Christians say) Jesus himself taught from and followed the Torah? Ever wondered about that? Obviously, the two Books teach different things since the Torah has put people under law and the Gospel has (supposedly) 'freed' you people by claiming that you are saved so long as you believe that Jesus died for your sins! I just DON'T understand HOW anyone can follow a Book if it was sent AFTER the prophet (to whom it was addressed) had been gone. Makes no sense to me... but then, the Trinity makes no sense to me either, you see; it doesn't make sense to most people, including some Christians even! And about that Paul thing, most sources will tell you that he's known as the founder of Trinity and that he has distorted the TRUE teachings of Jesus!!! Research it on your own; type, in any search engine, something like "Importance of Paul in Christianity," and click ANY of the results to know the truth about Paul's life and to see what a lie you yourself are living---instead of falsely accusing us Muslims of not knowing God when it's purely nonsensical that God would send a SON and then SACRIFICE him for your sins!
-- Why didn't this God you're talking about send His son a LONG time ago so that he could've "died" for EVERYONE's sins??!! And not JUST for those who came AFTER Jesus or during his time?
Muhammad taught nothing BUT the Truth, and not too many people can handle the Truth, just so you know. I find that funny and sad at the same time.

Better luck next time in trying to claim that Muhammad didn't know God, okie? Sorry to admit to you that you won't have any success in fooling us Muslims that we don't know God or that God has a son or that "God" (or God's son???!!) died for your sins. We are too smart to be fooled, thank you very much.

MYTH? LOL! Muhammad was an uneducated, illiterate man, so I find it hilarious when some idiots claim that Muhammad is the writer of the Quran. The entire Quran was recorded WHILE Muhammad was living, and just like with every other prophet, Angel Gabriel visited him every year to MAKE SURE that Muhammad was reciting the Quran properly. While he'd be reciting it, his TRUSTWORTHY, literate, and educated buddies would be recording it, and then Muhammad himself would later on again make sure that what his friends had written was perfectly accurate; this went on for up to 21 yrs. Till this day, the Quran has not been changed, and mark my word: NO ONE will ever be able to change it, no matter how hard anyone tries. Can one say the same thing about the Bible when it itself has more than one versions? And I hear the Catholic and Protestants even read different Bibles (maybe just a little dif, but still diff!!)? Well, wich Bible is the correct version? Both can't be right at the same time, right?
So, buddy, what's your proof that Muhammad didn't know God? Are you gonna use your Bible as your evidence? Ahhhh, I'll then use my Quran as MY evidence that you're believing lies, too. Would I be wrong to do so if you're gonna do the same? No. Not at all. NEVERTHELESS... have you read the Bible entirely? I haven't, but for certain, I don't like its view of women!!!!!! I truly believe that God, who created men AND women, is FAIR and loves women just as much as He loves men! For instance, the (Catholic) Bible claims that "The birth of a daughter is a loss" (Ecclesiasticus 22:3). And the Bible (at least the Protestant one) says, "And in case men struggle together (in a fight) with one another, and the wife of the one has come near to deliver her husband out of the striking one (to save her husband), and she has thrust out her hand and grabbed hold of his private (the other man's groin), she must then get both her hands cut off, and the eyes of the men must feel no sorrow" (Deuteronomy 25:11-12).
Well, well, WELL! Sorry, but the TRUE God doesn't teach such a silly thing, ok? Prove me wrong, if you can, that the Bible doesn't teach against women; or, then, tell me what this verse is supposed to "represent." I could go ON AND ON about how much the WRITERS of the Bible hate women, and don't even bother claiming that this was law back in 1500BC or something, as some Christians do, because GOD's law does NOT change over time in order to meet society's needs! God's Law has always remained the same, and it always will. If those words are TRULY God's words, then you're right that Muhammad didn't know God because the GOD we knwo never taught such evil things! How silly, illogical, cruel it would be for GOD to teach MEN to treat women that way!!! Don't touch your women during their menstruation time because they're dirty and unclean and any man or woman who touches that woman becomes dirty till evening and he/she MUST take a bath (Leviticus 15:19-30). SHEEEESHH!!! Who are the writers of the Bible to claim women are dirty during that time??!!! I surely don't know of such a god who claims such biased things!!!!

Soooo, no, thank you. It's a bit TOOOOO obvious to non-fools that he Bible is purely aganst the true teachings of God.
Prove to me that your Bible is correct, that your beliefs are the beliefs taught by GOD, that you're following the RIGHT Path. Sorry, but as long as the Bible contains derogatory passages pointed at women, I'm never believing that it's God's Original Book, ok? No right-minded being would... no right-minded woman, at least. Don't bother claiming that Jesus loved men and women equally since he "died" for ALL of them. I KNOW Jesus loved everyone (but of course he's not God or God's son!), and I also know that GOD, the TRUE God who has NO SON OR FATHER, also LOVES His creations--including WOMEN!-- more than anything. His love and compassion for women is shown in the Quran if you'd read it carefully and earnestly; but His love for women is not shown in the Bible. Obviously, men changed the original Gospel just to satisfy THEIR needs. How can you people NOT tell??!! Seems to me as though the "negative" points of the Bible are purposely ignored by your Christian teachers/priests/leaders so that you won't question. I see. But that's just my view; I'm sure they probably have a different reason. Tell me... WHY doesn't the Bible say something like, "If 2 women are fighting, and the husband of one comes to defend her... the women must then break his arms and their eyes shall feel no sorrow"????? WHY break the arms of the WOMAN??!!! Start questioning in order to finally find the Truth and Peace, okay? And stop spreading lies and hatred; it's not gonna get you anywhere but will just dump you further in Falsehood. And I'm NOT kidding. Neither do I mean to be disrespectful. It's just the truth, and whoever said the Truth HAS to be pleasant to hear?
Anyway, peace and blessings be upon you, and may you be guided to the Truth of God.
Good day!

And just as you claim we don't know God and are following lies, we believe you are living a lie and don't know God either! BUT who gave anyone any authority to judge other religions, buddy? And most likely, you call yourself a Christian? Try to represent your religion properly, and for God's sake, stop spreading your ignorance and hatred and intolerance around. At least not using YOUR OWN "Holy" Book!!!!! You just can't do that. How silly! Otherwise, as I've stated above, the rest of us will do the same, but are you gonna try to tell us we're wrong to do so?? You'd better not if you're gonna do the same.
Anyway, peace and blessings be upon you, and may you have a beautiful day/week/month/year/life.

Mohammed, pbuh, became right into a monotheist, no longer a Jew or a Christian, yet a believer in a single God. there have been a small sort of monotheists in Makkah on the time, which includes additionally Khadija, who replace into the spouse of the Prophet. i don't be attentive to that any uncorrupted written scripture has been preserved to right this moment from so earlier. are you able to respond to what written scripture did Abraham, pbuh, persist with? What do you mean some e book which refers to prophets yet would not prepare atonement? Muslims are taught to truly repent for his or her sins, yet are taught that Allah would not choose blood sacrifices. truthful repentance comes from interior and manifests itself in a transformation of habit. "people of the e book" refers back to the people who persist with the Torah and the Evangel. there is largely one God.

I can't say that I know a lot about Muhammad, but I can say that there many ways to 'Talk" to GOD. I talk to HIM all the time,no its not a conversation like I would have with another person living on this earth in the flesh, but it still a conversation because he hears me and answers me. Now this does not make me any different then anyone else because we all have access to GOD through his son JESUS. When you pray your talking too GOD. HE does here your prayers and answers them if you believe.

Muhammed was born almost 600 years after Christ.

Then he tried to re-write history and falsify the teachings of Christ by writing the Quran.

Muslims (and Islam) say Jesus was a prophet but they reject all His teachings ...

They reject Christ's divinity;
they reject his claim to be the Son of God;
they reject his death on the cross...
they reject His ressurrection..
They reject Jesus is the Christ/ Messiah...
Need I say more...?

Don't be deceived. The Islamic god is totally different than the God of Jesus Christ .

The Bible calls Muhammed a False prophet....
"Who is a liar but he that denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is anti-Christ, that denies the Father and the Son. He that denies the Son, the same has not the Father." (I John 2:22)

I would disagree with the first answer. Luke, who wrote Acts and Peter, who partnered with Paul, surely recognized the Lord's hand in everything Paul did. Gabriel appeared to Mohammed, not God, however,
I am doubly disturbed to read: Hadith Bukhari 3:47:355
Mohammed used to get divine inspiration only in Aisha's bed!

In Islam only Moses spoke directly to God, The rest of the prophets conversed with the prophet Gabriel.

Your point is flawed.

Nobody but Paul actually said they saw Paul get knocked off his horse. Nobody but Paul said that Peter approved of his teachings. Yet a large part of Christianity is based off Paul's teachings.

A narration attributed to Anas bin Malik reports:

“ The night Allah's Apostle was taken for a journey from the sacred mosque (of Mecca) Al-Ka'ba: Three persons came to him (in a dream while he was sleeping in the Sacred Mosque before the Divine Inspiration was revealed to Him...they came on another night, i.e. after The Divine Inspiration was revealed to him. (Fateh-Al-Bari Page 258, Vol. 17) and he saw them, his eyes were asleep but his heart was not...So those angels did not talk to him till they carried him and placed him beside the well of Zam-Zam...He then ascended with him to the heaven of the world and knocked on one of its doors. The dwellers of the Heaven asked, 'Who is it?' He said, "Gabriel." They said, "Who is accompanying you?" He said, "Muhammad." They said, "Has he been called?" He said, "Yes" They said, "He is welcomed." ... Then Gabriel took him around that Heaven and behold, he saw another river at the bank of which there was a palace built of pearls and emerald. He put his hand into the river and found its mud like musk Adhfar. He asked, "What is this, O Gabriel?" Gabriel said, "This is the Kauthar which your Lord has kept for you." Then Gabriel ascended ... On each Heaven there were prophets whose names he had mentioned and of whom I remember Idris on the second Heaven, Aaron on the fourth Heavens another prophet whose name I don't remember, on the fifth Heaven, Abraham on the sixth Heaven, and Moses on the seventh Heaven because of his privilege of talking to Allah directly. Moses said (to Allah), "O Lord! I thought that none would be raised up above me."... But Gabriel ascended with him (the Prophet) for a distance above that, the distance of which only Allah knows, till he reached the Lote Tree (beyond which none may pass) and then the Irresistible, the Lord of Honor and Majesty approached and came closer till he (Gabriel) was about two bow lengths or (even) nearer. (It is said that it was Gabriel who approached and came closer to the Prophet. (Fate Al-Bari Page 263, 264, Vol. 17). Among the things which Allah revealed to him then, was: "Fifty prayers were enjoined on his followers in a day and a night." Then the Prophet descended till he met Moses, and then Moses stopped him and asked, "O Muhammad ! What did your Lord en join upon you?" The Prophet replied," He enjoined upon me to perform fifty prayers in a day and a night." Moses said, "Your followers cannot do that; Go back so that your Lord may reduce it for you and for them." So the Prophet turned ... till the enjoined prayers were reduced to only five prayers...The Prophet returned to Moses who asked, "What have you done?" He said, "He has lightened our burden: He has given us for every good deed a tenfold reward." Moses said, "By Allah! I tried to make Bani Israel observe less than that, but they gave it up. So go back to your Lord that He may lighten your burden further." Allah's Apostle said, "O Moses! By Allah, I feel shy of returning too many times to my Lord." On that Gabriel said, "Descend in Allah's Name." The Prophet then woke while he was in the Sacred Mosque (at Mecca). Sahih Bukhari 9:93:608

I think you'll find otherwise!
