ingredients I sometimes use:
Almonds
fudge
coconut (pieces or shavings)
dried fruit in little bits
chopped dates
raisins
walnuts
cooked and chopped chestnuts
...
experiment with these, find the perfect combination.
also, there's a cool trick for you:
prepare the dough like usually, then take a little bit (1/5) away from the rest and put it in a bow. mix it with cocoa powder as thick and dark as you can. Then roll it into small bits.
Shape the rest of the batter into cookies and press the little bits into them - they create small "islands" of different taste and colour.
This same trick works with any aroma. You can use food colouring to make them look better, like:
strawberry aroma with red,
mint aroma with green
vanilla aroma with yellow....
etc.

I love butterscotch chips along with the chocolate chips and nuts in cookies. For a change try white chocolate in the cookies - it is great. Also try dried fruits, cut into very small pieces - one of my favorites is dried cherries. Oatmeal can also be added, although I don't like it as much.

English toffee chips made into cookies is great, and instead of adding the chocolate chips into the batter, put them on top of the cookie after you pull it out of the oven and let the chips soften then spread on top of the cookie, really good

Looks like everybody has all the suggestions, except...I can buy pecans here in Mexico quite cheaply, so I put them in my cookies and fudge. Rich taste. Love to experiment with chocolate chip recipes.

Try using dried cranberries, dried cherries, peppermint chips, etc...... with the chocolate chips. You could also vary the chips and nuts.
You could use almost any dried fruit in a basic cookie dough.
Try adding things like dried lavender flowers, rose petals, etc....
You could also use different extracts too.

white chocoalte
cappucino chips (Target has them!)

selection circumstances. such as including some stages, baking time, etc. selection circumstances, incredibly of one egg, upload 2 upload a pinch of a few thing. Then make a checklist at how some circumstances made the cookies extra effectual, and a few made them worse.
