God has blessed my family and me in so many ways. The most significant for me has been to open my mind to understand what faith is and how to trust in him. Thanks be to God.
He did not grow me a new leg, but did make it possible for me to find a prosthetist who made a leg which fit so well without pain making it possible for me to walk as though it was my natural leg. I even forget it isn't really me. My logic tells me I will not regrow a leg until, pray God, I go to heaven where all of us will be restored to whole only through the grace of God!

All my prayers have been answered in God's way and in God's time. Some have not been answered yet, and may never be.
I have learned that God knows what is best for me and if I should have what I pray for and when.
I have also learned that, when I become impatient and try to make things happen myself, I get myself in trouble.

one of my first prayers was to ask how to pray.
While i was on my knees i prayed with sincere and steadfast zealousness.
When i stood up a still small voice, spoke to my mind and prompted me to turn on the tv.
I turned on the tv and there on CBN was a pastor teaching the lords prayer, when the disciples themselves asked Jesus to teach them to pray.
It was awesome. I memorized luke 11 and with some modifactions I have never forgotten the LOrds prayer.

I believe in taking responsibility for my own life, I shape my own fate, no prayers are necessary.

I don't wait around for god to grant me wishes like a big genie in the sky - if I want something in my life - I go get it myself.

I'm still breathing. Healthy. Getting married to a woman who accepts me for me. I teach the bible. I'm a Christian. I can see, touch, taste, smell, and hear. I'm in one piece. I wake up the mornings. I don't go hungry. My bad days aren't really that bad when I think about it. I have money in my pocket, and still some in the bank. I have a car. I have clothes on my back. Now, my hand is hurting from all this typing, but I'm still able to type. I have a good job. I'm in school. I have my family. etc. etc.
Most importantly, I can go to him for anything - in Jesus' name.
Amen.
