why is it you can read a huge ammounts of questions that can involve possibly life threatening symptoms on this site. honestly i think life is too precious to gamble on any site, alot of these people that ask should really consult a doctor as alot of us people are not health proffessionals and thus are basically giving our oppinions (which is fine and dandy if it is a question about less important things, but can be dangerous to peoples health)

It is true that alot of questions can be life threatening. But alot of people don't have insurance. I don't go to the doctor personally unless I feel that I am going to die from something. I went to the doctor on Monday and had a 5 hour glucose tolerane test because my sugar level had dropped a couple of days before to 25. (which is usually a comatose level) I am seriously thinking of moving to Canada due to cost of insurance in USA. At the present I have none and I am being refered to neurologist for EMG and MRI. Without insurance the EMG runs about 1500-4500 dollars and the MRI runs about 1200-1500 dollars. Not including the cost of the specialist visit. The nurse that was performing the test on me I could drop in to say hi without seeing the doctor. I hadn't been to that doctor in MANY years. I understand your question but you need to understand that sometimes people can't afford the cost of doctors and specialists. My husband makes fairly decent income every month but insurance for my family is outrageous. His job is soon ending and he is hoping to find cheaper insurance on the next job he will be sent on. I myself don't give advice about health unless I have had personal experience. Sometimes medical problems are hard to detect. Everything isn't black and white. So many symptoms for so many different things = Very costly.

Yes, health questions are too serious to be asked on this site. People should ask their doctor or health care provider for an accurate answer. People are just guessing or giving information based upon personal experience.

I can agree with some of your statement, many people are just 'passing on information, without any 'clear medical knowledge', I Do believe, however, that they are trying to help others though. There are many medically approved people on these sites too, who give of their time and experience to help inform questioners'.

I myself, am not 'medically trained' in any way whatsoever, I use researched and documented evidence taken from published materials. As I Never answer a question about anyone's well being, without consuling my information, and 'quoting directly' from a well renowned source, AND naming that source, I take exception to your indications.

The fruit I refer to, in my replies, has been used for centuries, is well researched (with on-going research too) and documented, with the access website always given as my source for further information.

I DO point out to people that they should consult with a Dr.in many instances.
