Trans Am. I've had two Mustangs and both were lemons.

Wow. My first car was a '66 Mustang. I loved it so much, my second car was a '69 Mustang. Wrecked em both. But then, my first "new" car was a '78 Trans Am. I have never loved a car more than the Trans Am. I guess the handling sold me, besides I never got beat in any way by a Mustang in the Trans AM.

I was raised in a Chevy family, but then I saw a my Dad's friends car... a '69 Mach 1 in Copper Penny, and instantly converted. I have two Mustangs, a '71 Mach 1, and a 1999 GT Convertible. I love them both. If I HAD to go Trans Am, I'd get one of those late '90's ones..... very cool.

I was raised GM - gotta go with that...my first new car was a Firebird when I was 18 (my mother had a new Firebird when she was 18) - which I could have afforded a TA. I just like the styling so much better (and again, I was raised GM). Sorry, I'm a chick, it's first thing in the morning and already a bad one so I can't offer any better insight than that.
Besides...who can beat that Smokey & the Bandit car???

Neither, they are both nice cars, but I would get something better than a trans am or a mustang.
