At 15 you shouldn't worry so much about the people around you and their appearance. You should be motivated out of what makes you feel the best and gives you the best self esteem. If the answer is still to be a size 12 or under then ok. You are on the right track already. I am 35, I have tried many things to try and make a change in my weight, shape, and health. Let me tell you what really works. You already named it. Eating healthy, and getting some exercise. I was 260 pounds before I made the commitment to get into shape. It has taken 5 years. And I am down to 205 pounds. (I am male and 6'4" tall).
Let me add a few things that I have learned that seem to be true and helpful for me.
-cut down on carbohydrates. People in developed countries eat foods that have been so processed that it is possible to take in all the carbs your body needs for a whole day in one meal. You probably do it all the time and dont even realize it. Think of how often you eat something that is handed to you in a bag, box, or cup. That is a diet killer. Get back to basics. It is the large change in blood sugar levels that signal your body to eat. If you eat fries, they are quickly metabolized. Blood sugar goes up, then quickly comes down. When the body sees that big decrease, it says, lets eat again. It is a diet killer. Eat things that take longer to digest. That means foods that are whole. Whole grains, high fiber foods. Stay away from instant rice, white bread, pancakes, syrups, sauces, etc. Limit you carb intake to once per day if you can. For 2 of your 3 meals stick to proteins.
Add weight lifting to your exercise. It will give you an athletic shape. That will make you feel better even if you are not the dress size you wish you were. Plus it will make you stronger. That is a good thing.
Do your cardio on an empty stomach if you can. Mix it up. Do some running, some swimming, some biking. Don't let your body get used to any one exercise. Your body can adapt to even the most rigorous exercises after a period of time and it will stop repsonding. Keep your body guessing what you will do next.
Don't give up. It takes years to overcome these weight issues. If it falls off in weeks or months, you will gain it back almost for sure. If you work it off over a perod of time, you have earned it and are more likely to keep it off.
Lastly, identify the behaviors that set you up for a failure. For me, there are some friends that whenever I see them, I over eat and drink. If you know that you are going to do it, plan to avoid old behavior traps. For me, I drink a big glass of water, eat a carrot, and take some gum along.
Good luck.

Are you talking ladies size 14? Or girls size 14? If you're a girls size 14, then you really shouldn't worry about it. Here's why:
Everybody has a different body build. This means that for some, just because of their bone structure, they will never be smaller than a ladies 6 or 8. Not if they're going to be healthy. Add onto that muscle and a healthy amount of fat. Some people will be their ideal size at a ladies 6, others a ladies 4, others a ladies 8.
Not only that, but if you ARE talking girls sizes, then the numbers are designed for AGES. If your friends are wearing girls 10 (so, intended for 10yo girls), then they either haven't developed or they are way too thin.
Now, if you are talking ladies 14, then you are all overweight and should make sure to eat well and exercise. Make sure you are not overeating--eating too much healthy food doesn't help you lose weight. Ideally you'd go see your doctor or a dietitian to make sure you are getting all the nutrients you need.
Btw, what's your definition of eating healthy? Do you get at least 3 servings of vegetables each day? At least 2 servings of fruit? No more than 2 or 3 servings of meat? (And meat portions are quite small!!) Roughly 5 or 6 servings of grain products? 2-4 calcium-filled foods? (Not necessarily dairy--there are other ways to get calcium.) Do you stay away from junk food, including the highly chemical diet pops? (These can have a lot of sodium which encourages water retention.) I ask because my aunt thinks she eats healthy by having everything cooked in olive oil. That's not healthy eating. Neither is filling up on chemical-laden diet foods.

Hey, you should try the APPLE PATCH diet. I know some people who swear by it. It's all-natural and not dangerous like some diet pills, and its good if your not trying to loose mega weight. If you wanna just take off between 10-40 lbs and dont want it to take forever, i have heard good things about this system. If you wanna check it out, this is their site:
