How long does the pain last? How fast does it heal? How much does it hurt?

It doesnt really hurt during and right after you get it pierced. I got mine pierced then stuck my tongue out to look at it and it didnt hurt at all. But for about 3 days itll be swollen so you have to watch what you eat...Do Not eat spaghetti LOL I learned that the hard way. Then it takes about a month for your tongue to get back to normal. Thats about how long it took for me to take out the long bar that they pierce it with and put in a short bar. Trust me if you really want it done then get it.

It doesn't hurt when you get it pierced, but it is a little sore for about 4 days after. Just eat a lot of applesauce and soup. It's not bad at all. I've had mine pierced twice.

Some people say it's painful, others don't. It takes a month or so to heal, but infection is very possible due to the amount of bacteria, food, etc. which can get into the hole.
Ask yourself this (assuming you are the one who wants to do this):
Why do you really want to do this? If you lived where nobody ever saw you and it wouldn't create an effect on others, would you still want this? If not, then it's nothing something you're really doing for yourself but to try to make some sort of impression on others. Live your life for yourself (assuming you want what's best for yourself) and not based on what others think!

Honestly it didn't hurt at all. The annoying thing is the swelling which lasts like 3/4 days. Make sure you keep rinsing your mouth with lesterine, everytime, you eat drink, smoke, kiss someone, you gotta keep it germ free.

Funny, I just answered a question about brain dead people and then I saw this question.
The only person I know that did this ended up with an infection. He was hurting badly for weeks.

I'm not sure my oldest brother(who's 16)got his pierced...and he hasn't said anything...so I Don't Know
