It's wierd because at teens you are on a moulding stage wit hregards the gathering wisdom and making your career. A very high percentage of teen relationships ends up in break-offs. The only reason is that at this age we wanna explore our intimacies but not our responsibilites.

Why do teens wanna enjoy everything that adult does? When it comes to responsibilites a teenager would simply respond that it's not the right time for him/her. I think teenagers are given a bit too much of liberty.

I know nobody would agree to my answer but the truth is bitter. We love to explore but we are cluless about the consequences. You may take some precautions to prevent physical harm, but what about the mental pain?

:-)

BF has many meaning, intensity, intimacy and many level.

So the answer is very difficult one.

As a rule this is the time for young people to study, build carriers and be focus. So they must play some, but study hard and have least amount of distractions, this is not only true in India but it a normal thing all over the world, parents do care for the well being of their children and they do have right to guide them and protect them from making mistakes in the life that can ruin their life for long time to come, most get in to the cycle and cannot recover from it, those that recover need sacrificing(them self and the whole family) beyond imagination.

there is nothing wrong with having a bf but u should also think abt whether u want him to b just a frnd or more if u want more thn u will b unforseeable circumstances if u want only friendship then it will not b a problem . in India it is the culture that does not allow to have a bf as u r just a teen it is to protect the girls so that they wont face prob with the boys . there are lot of affairs going on if any prob arises from that affair only a girl has to face. u must have heard abt western culture where teens have bf n affairs most of the girls r not virgin n face the prob of early pregnancy , abortions which r not so much in our india. so think before u have a bf u can have a frnd.

No. One can have a boyfreind. Actually all the girls do have one or more boyfreinds and they all have very healthy relations. Our society tends to define the meaning of term with a particular inclination only, that's why there is a suspicious angle in the relation which is wrong. We must understand that freindship is the mother of all mature relations.
We Indians are fundamentally hypocrites as for as girl- boy ( man-woman) relations are concerned. The greatest of all boyfreinds in a girls life is her father and thereafter all other relations with boys develop.
