I think the majority of you are idiots!!! You mean to tell me you will give your body to a man without even knowing who he is. WOW! I'm not implying anything. I'm just observing. And what I see is that we are a nation of people who value protecting our credit and our identity more than we do our bodies and our souls. There are risks when someone you can't trust has your social but there are greater risks when someone you can't trust has your body.

If someone asked my for a social security number I’d run a mile… I’d probably break land speed records doing it too.
Any man or woman with any intelligence would do the same thing.
Seriously, asking for SSNs is very stalkerish and downright creepy.
If you do not trust the man to do the right thing “just in case” why are you even sleeping with him? Casual sex is one thing, but sex with a man you don’t trust… that’s just stupid.
And as for “does giving the SSN mean he loves you”… that’s beyond absurd.
The only thing it proves is that the man is either an idiot or giving you a false number.

Thats the stupidest thing I have ever heard. You should not give anyone your ss# and you should not be asking for it.
To respond to your additional statement, you have serious mental problems, you should seek professional help. And stop whoring around with so many guys and settle down with one and build a trusting meaningful relationship with them. Then you wont need the SSN
- You don't even have a kid and you are already talking about child support? At least we now know what kind of person we are dealing with.

This is a very strange question. Its up to the 2 ppl and depends how serious you guys are. Also, just because he gives it to you doesnt mean he loves you. It could possible mean hes just stupid. I think 2 people should have already built an extremely strong & close relationship before s.s. # are told. (Thats if they even want to). I've been with my man for 2 1/2 years, and we do know each others socials. But were also getting married in a couple years and have a great relationship. Its up to the 2 ppl, but if they do decide to give s.s. # then it should be after they have committed themselves to a serious relationship.

Even if he told you- what would you do with it? How could you verify it? What information would it give you? There are privacy laws anyway, not that you'd have access to any info anyway. Never considered such a thing- it's meaningless.
Don't have sex with someone until you really know them (personally) and use birth control- then there's no baby to worry about finanancial support for! Duh!

You cant do anything with his social security number. You need stuff like Full name, Date of Birth and Current Address, as well as employment address.

I have never done that in my life....I have been with my boyfriend for two years and I still couldn't tell you the first number in it. If your that paranoid about sleeping with him and all that....maybe you shouldn't be doing it.
