Its never a good idea to go out with one of your ex's friends. Its like crossing the line. Think of it the opposite way would you want him to go out with one of your girlfriends? If your answer to that is yes you will understand my first statement.

When I am in situation like this I always try to put myself in there shoes. Would it bother you if he dated your best friend?? Well there is your answer. I personally think if you guys dated for a while and there was a strong bond then no you shouldnt do that. Or you dont give a sh!t if his feelings get hurt then do it anyway. good luck

Um one of my exboyfriends and I broke up and later I found out from one of his good friends who liked me that while I was with my ex he cheated on me at meets. So I went out w/ the friend who liked me and told me the truth just to hurt him. It worked like a charm.

I think it is always a bad idea to date someone close to your boyfriend. The choice is up to you, but think about how you would feel if the tables were turned.

Do not do that , speacially with his best friend , you will put yourself inside the circle of New group loving laugh on your ideas...
Try another soluotion to tell him that you wanna be his friend only.
and then being a friend to his group , time will resolve this problem,,
Or you do not want to waist a time..!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
