I am a U.S. citizen and visiting Ireland this summer. Does anyone knows of a St. named knockalocka in Kerry ?

My grandmother was born in Kerry on 2/21883. She came to America, N.Y. when she was fourteen. I know that she married my grandfather also from Ireland named Patrick (Frank) O'Meara in America. Her name was Bessie Hickey and her fathers name was Frank Hickey. I am going a little crazy here with trying to find out when they were married (year) I have their birth dates only because I have searched and found their death certificates. Anyone from Ireland that is at all familiar with the name of her street or either of their last names would be a tremendous help to narrowing my search and perhaps visit where she was born when I come. I will be in Ireland this summer from June 18 to 28th. Thank you for you time and your interest.

That's going to be a tough one to crack. Do you know where in Kerry she was born. Contrary to what a lot of Americans believe, Ireland is not quite so small that we all know each other ;0P

I know that they published some Irish census results on the internet in the last few years so you might be able to get a head start there. I've just found out that a road named Knockalocka is in the Listowel electoral area of Kerry (Road No. L6068-1000metres long). I hope that this is of some help.
