the biggest one usually is to show u have the finances to cover ur stay ... and u usually have to show why u will not remain like you own property or a buisness in ur home country and u have plenty of money ... there are exceptions like being sponsored by a family member or a school or a buisness interested in hiring you because u have education or qualifications they are interested in. ... in other words, if it is obvious that u plan on remaining in the US because u have little money or own nothing where u live now then it will be very difficult to get a visa.

The law changes constantly. for the most up to date information go to ins.gov and the site can give you all the infomation you need. And you can also download forms to save you time from going to get them or waiting for them to be sent to you.
Good luck it is a long process.

You have to know the language, and the culture. Oh. Not really. Try going to www.unitedstatesvisas.gov as well.

go to www.travel.state.gov and find the visa info for your nation on the website. each nation has different rules.
