the two will get along just fine. Might work better if you got opposite sex - but dont forget to neuter unless you want babies... but opposite sexes nearly always get along realy well and the JR is still young. (JR: They stay playful for years and years)

The Jack should be fine with the Shih tsu...it'll be easier if you get the Shih tsu as a puppy, and of the opposite sex. I had a Jack Russell, and she got along with just about everything (except squirrels), she was raised as a baby with 2 full grown Rotties, and adapted to her surroundings nicely (she thought she was 130lbs too!) LoL! I had a Shih Tsu when I was growing up, and they're playfull as pups, but more of a lazy lapdog once they get older, whereas Jacks go go go until the day they die. Shih Tsus are great dogs, but be aware that they have lots of health problems ie. cancers, breathing probs due to the short snout etc.

Shih Tzu's and Jacks are both great dogs. The jack is a very high energy dog where the Shih Tzu's are quite layed back. You should not have a problem with them getting along as long as the jack has lots of exercise.

It's hard to tell. If his jack russell is socialized well it should be okay, it just my drive the shih tzu crazy. I have a jack russell puppy and she gets along with all the dogs she has met. Although she does try to pull the hair on dogs like shih tzu's when she's playing.

They must get along best as long as you introduce them correctly. They're both still puppies in spite of everything not a further species, just one other breed. Absolutely put them in seperate rooms at first, introduce them slowly by way of might be striking them each on a lead so they are able to see each other and scent each different but when they want to combat that you would be able to stop them, if they get along that you can put them collectively, if now not simply keep striking them collectively for a few hours at the same time watching them until they get used to one another.

It depends on the personalities of the dogs, not the breed. You would have to introduce them properly to make sure they got on together. The JR could get jealous otherwise as it's his territory

Dogs have individual personalities. Unless their personalities clash there is no reason why they shouldn't get along.

As long as you talk to them in the same language they'll think they both belong there.
