If you drank 2,5 litres of water, you'd instantly be 2,5 kg heavier. As you say, this weight gain is only temporary.

You might gain 5 lbs in just water. However, this is very risky. You can suffer from water intoxication. Also if your not going to get rid of it. It will put alot of pressure on your bladder and your spincter muscles that help you hold your urine. So if you end up weakening those muscles by holding in your urine, you'll have trouble holding in your urine at other times. Why do you want to gain 5 lbs temporarily anyways? Do you have to join a wrestling match? Because I don't know how 5 lbs of water can flatter anyone's appearance. It will probably just go to your stomach.

No read this... and look it up

This sounds VERY DANGEROUS

the damage may be PERMINANT

However if you are drinking water without electrolytes it sound like it may generate an effect called

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/leah_betts...

hyponatremia (a dilution of the blood, disrupting sodium levels), which in turn led to serious swelling of the brain (cerebral edema), irreparably damaging it.

I was in the corinors court for this girl...

It took 30 minutes for her to die screaming in pain, in terror begging her parents for help her body going limp slowly as the control parts of her brain were slodged though the back hole in her skull for the spine a bit like you squashing solid ool custard bleeding between your fingertips.

Whilst ecstasy helped imbalance things it was the imbalance of water to electroylte which caused the swelling due to cells absorbing water and swelling up, that caused her brain to swell up in an enclosed space going out the nearest hole.

Till I guess the effect reached her heart.

look up

cerebral edema

water intoxication

and hyponatremia

If you drank 2.5 litres of water, you would put on exactly 2.5kg = 5.51 lb, but it would decrease as you sweat, urinate, burn calories etc.
