if he cares about you then he wont make you do something you dont want to do.

my brother got a picture of his wife tattooed on his shoulderblade. then they divorced and he has since remarried. he is slowly having it removed but it will take years of painful removal to get it completely off.

be careful about getting his name because you never know what the future holds.

Woooooooo! You do nothing at anytime that you don't want. Concerning you say you don't want to upset him. Hope I am wrong as that spells out DANGER in a relationship. Tell him you simply do not want a tatoo, he should respect your wishes, if he doesn't then let it be a 'wake up' call that he is a control freak. Sincerely hope it was just the way you worded the question and meant to say he would be disappointed instead of upset.

Just tell him that u dont want one, never ever have anyones name tatooed on u, unless its ur childs name. Never get a tatoo unless u really want one. Hes out of order even asking u to get his name tatooed on u.

A tattoo will be on your skin for life. The ONLY good reason for having one is because you want it. Sounds like the guy is suffering from insecurity and wants you branded to warn others off. Suggest he spends his money on a nice pendant of his name for you to wear instead or ask him if you can come watch while he has your name tattooed so you're not so nervous. I'm heavily tattooed and I've worked as receptionist in a tattoo studio, the most common coverup requested is a lover's name.

Just say no. A tattoo is permanent (unless you pay the $$ to get it removed later, in which case you end up with a mess anyway). I have nothing against tattoos, I have one myself and love it .. but it sounds like he has a bit of a control issue, wanting to brand his name on your flesh like some kind of prize cow. What if y'all break up? Then what .. you have some loser's name emblazoned on your flesh for the rest of your life and it will be a constant reminder of him, even if you find a way to cover the name with a new design or get it removed, there will always be something there to remind you.

in case you actually do not pick to get a tattoo, i'd not advise it. He should not be pressuring you to do some thing like that, both. D: PLUS, in case you 2 do not stay jointly, you'll likely sense sorry about getting that tattoo. the in effortless words element i'd get a tattoo for will be some thing for me. Like a jap image with own which means or value. Or a Pikachu. =D

Hi,
if you do not want one then do not be pressured into it, it would be you that has to live with it for the rest of your life.
You could tell him that you like them on other people but it is not a thing that you would want done, what would happen if you ever split up? would you new fellow like to see your ex's name on you?.
I am not against tattoos as i have a small tattoo of a butterfly on my back, but i can cover it up if i want to.
Why not get a his and hers necklace you have one half and he has the other half.

Just tell him no I mean if he loves and respects you then he will not force you into anything that you do not want to do. My uncle makes tattoos and one of the first thing that he tells someone is that never to get somebodies name on their skin especially because if they break up well it is going to be worse.

Consider this a wake-up call, with alarm bells attached. Your question speaks volumes about your relationship with your boyfriend, unfortunately all of it bad. You're clearly not happy about having the tattoo and either your boyfriend doesn't respect your wishes or else you're reluctant to raise the issue with him for fear of his reaction. Get out of this relationship right now before things get a lot worse.

This is a tough one. I would say that you wouldn't have a tattoo even with 'Mum and Dad' let alone anyone else. I am against tattoos. I think that you have a choice what to do with your body same as if you asked him to have a part of his body pierced. If he's too selfish to accept it then I would consider how I felt about him
