I want my letter to say i'm writing to inform the public not to fall prey to this company.
Please help with writing a letter which is really good and witty. Thanks in advance.

To: The Manager, Subscription Dept., ... (name of company)
Sir,
I wish to bring to your notice that I haven't received even a single copy of your magazine so far. My subscription reference is ...., and it was supposed to start with the issue dated....
Time and tide wait for no man, it said, and this seem to be true in this case, as a lot of water has flown down the ..... (river name) since that date, and I have been waiting in vain for the magazine to arrive.
While I appreciate that there could be some procedural delays in a large office like yours, the long waiting period I have suffered, makes me wonder whether I need to seek other remedies to have my grievance satisfactorily sorted out. Your customer service department has not been able to help despite my four calls to them, nor has my letter of complaint dated... get any response from you.
Maybe I need to consider whether it would help if I were to bring this experience to the notice of other prospective subscibers, by writing letters to the editors of local and national newpapers. I am sure you wouldn't want me to do this, as it would obviously have an adverse effect on your revenues, besides bad publicity.
I expect that at least this letter is lucky to receive a response from you, say within the next week, before I start drafting a letter to the newpapers.
Could you please call me on my phone number.... and inform me what the problem is? I would spend most of my time near the phone, so as not to miss your precious call.
Thanking you.
Sincerely,
.............

EDIT
I am sorry that I gave a letter draft (above) addressed to the magazine company, and not to the editor of a newspaper, as required in the question. My apologies to the asker of the question and to other readers.

You probably won't get very far with a letter to the editor. Most newspapers would not print consumer complaints there.

If your local newspaper has a reporter who covers consumer issues, try writing directly to him or her. You might also try the Better Business Bureau (first link below).

Before you complain, make sure you know who is involved. If you purchased the subscription directly from the magazine, that's no problem but if you purchased it through another company, that company (rather than the magazine) may be at fault.
