There were a lot of things that are OK according to the bible that would make your skin crawl.

Yes, a wife is obligated to have sex with her husband. If she is unable to give birth to a sun, she can be punished, divorced or killed and the man can take a new wife.

Children who do not obey their parents can be taken out in the town square and beaten or stoned to death.

Moses would order his army to kill all the survivors of of cities they would conqueror except virgin girls who then would be offered as rewards to his troops and priests.

Incest was common place from the only logical way for Adam and Eve to populate the world, to when God floods the whole place and Noah and his family had to start it all over again... even when Lot's daughters got him drunk and seduced him cause they thought God destroyed the world 'again'

Many things that we think as taboo now, happen in the bible.

I'm not sure if this is the correct term. Scripture says that the husbands body belongs to the wife, and the wife's body to the husband. Men are told to love the wife as Jesus loves the church.
Rape is a violent type of crime. So I don't see that it has a place in marriage. I believe that what you do needs to be discussed, and consented to.

Unwanted Sex is an offense.
Paul clearly says that You do not own your own body, but you are bought with a price and owned by Jesus. however, the body of the husband is owned by the wife and and body of the wife is owned by the husband.
I consider it a sin for a wife to refuse to have sex, but if you follow the jewish mitzvah, if a wife continually refuses sex, the husband can righteously divorce the spouse.

uhmm.. i don't think that "rape" is the proper term for that. i think it should be " is it ok according to the bible to make love with your wife?" uhmm... though i am not sure that this thing is written in the bible, i think that making love with your wife is just ok. marriage allows a couple to do those things that unmarried couples can't do

A husband must love his wife, not rape her.
Read Ephesians 5:28-33.
All these clowns with the OT references are incorrect..

Eph 5:24-25 How Husbands Must Live
25 Husbands, love your wives. You must love them as Christ loved the church. He gave His life for it. 26 Christ did this so He could set the church apart for Himself. He made it clean by the washing of water with the Word.

Colossians 3:18-20 How Families Should Live
18 Wives, obey your husbands. This is what the Lord wants you to do. 19 Husbands, love your wives. Do not hold hard feelings against them. 20 Children, obey your parents in everything. The Lord is pleased when you do.

Not that I know of. But it seems to be a way for someone to force marriage on another person.

If a man is caught in the act of raping a young woman who is not engaged, he must pay fifty pieces of silver to her father. Then he must marry the young woman because he violated her, and he will never be allowed to divorce her.

Simple... Gen. 1:27 "God created man in his image..."

What characteristics of God accepts rape? Rape is simply abusing someone elses body without their consent. If we are God-like, that quality wouldn't be considered a part of our lifestyle. It is a defiling Fornication to please only one person in the union. The other is reduced to the levels of a slave. It is destructive mentally and emotionally as well as physically.

Now I ask again, what characteristics of God accepts rape?

Allah says in the holy Koran that Men are in charge of women, because Allah made men to be superior to women. If men suspect rebellion from their wives, they should admonish them, refuse sex, and finally beat them to discipline them [Quran 4:34]. Men have the higher rights than women [Quran 2:228], women are worth only half of men [Quran 2:282]

It is an interesting question for those people who follow the bible to the letter and we all know there are people who do. Just another reason I would never trust a person who takes the bible literally.
